Our High School Confirmation preparation program prepares teens over a two year period. Each candidate for Confirmation can enter YEAR ONE beginning in their Freshmen year of High School. YEAR TWO can begin once all of the requirements are met for YEAR ONE.
During YEAR ONE candidates must register and participate in Religious Education classes on Sunday evenings 7:30pm – 9:00pm during the school year, or be enrolled in a Catholic High School. We highly encourage YEAR ONE candidates to attend the Life Teen Fall Retreat. Candidates must also participate in a planned service project. Typically we will hold a Food Drive in the Fall and another service project in the Spring for those unable to attend the Fall event.
All the requirements of Year One must be completed before a teen is eligible to register for YEAR TWO. YEAR TWO candidates will register and participate in Confirmation Small Groups held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm – 8:30pm during the school year. In addition, Candidates in YEAR TWO will select a ministry in which they feel called to serve utilizing their gifts and talents to serve others. These Candidates must also attend the Confirmation Retreat in order to satisfy requirements for the program and the Archdiocese.
The sealing of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation is the final sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. If, for whatever reason, you have not received this powerful sacrament, we encourage you to do so! During the Spring Semester, Adult Confirmation preparation is offered through an 8-10 week course.
