The Council is a representative body of the faithful, whose focus is on the whole community, uniting the whole community and pursuing the mission of the Church. They commit themselves to the best possible counsel to our pastor, Fr. Tom Rafferty, which is a result of prayer, reflection, and dialogue as well as study, research and consultation with other parishioners.

Dear St. Anthony of Padua Family,
Throughout the 23 year life of our parish, the Pastors including myself have always been blessed with strong leadership in the form of Staff, Ministry Leaders, and the Pastoral Council. Especially given the uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic, strong leadership and the ability to set parish direction and adjust are needed now more than ever.
The Pastoral Council is now seeking 3-6 new members to replace parishioners who are due to roll of this summer and I along with the council invite parishioners to discern this opportunity to serve the parish through this body.
The role of the Pastoral Council is to provide council and consultation to the pastor on current and future pastoral issues and to be representative of the whole church community. The council meets monthly and members are expected to be active in the community through networking and sensing. Council members serve a 3 year term, are registered in the parish, are in full communion with the Catholic Church and are current with Safe Environment training.
If personally interested or would like to nominate a fellow parishioner, please email Susan Shelander (email@example.com).
We plan to solicit nominations in July and August ahead of a discernment process and selection in September.
Fr. Tom Rafferty
