The role of the Pastoral Council is to provide council and consultation to the pastor on current and future pastoral issues and to be representative of the whole church community.  The council meets monthly and members are expected to be active in the community through networking and sensing.

The Council also represents the whole church community.  If you have questions, comments or ideas about our parish and the future, please reach out to any member or contact the council through their email.

The Development Council is a committee of St. Anthony’s parishioners who are dedicated to providing and planning for the future generations of Paduans here in The Woodlands. Their aim is to stoke the fire of stewardship, to make new and exciting gift sources available to the parish, to inspire all parishioners to go above and beyond what is considered ‘average’ for the greater good of St. Anthony of Padua. 

While acknowledging the needs of the present, the Development Council considers the future needs of St. Anthony of Padua to be paramount. Our community has grown in a major way over the past 25 years – the Development Council seeks to ensure that our growth can continue for 25, 50, and 100 years into the future. 

This Development Council works closely alongside Fr. Jesse and the staff in all their initiatives. Guided by the vision of Fr. Jesse, the council seeks to advance the Gospel message through the education, involvement, and financial investment of our parishioners. The council consists of distinct committees. They are:

The primary purpose of the Finance Council is consultative. The Council is responsible for assisting the Pastor with parish financial administration, with a specific mandate to assist the Pastor in the administration of parish goods.

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in essential computer programs. This role requires attention to detail, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.

Job Details:

• VBS staff Liaison oversees all VBS with volunteers for the year.
• OCIA- assist lead with all office needs—certificates, supplies, name badges etc.
• Sac Prep family sessions lead with all office needs and help with a night of preparation and hospitality.
• Children’s faith formation- Assist the lead with all office needs. Help with Catechist Day and other team events.

Key Roles:

• Communicate effectively and kindly.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently to manage a dynamic and varied workload.
• Maintain an organized workspace, including digital and physical files, certificates, emails, calendars, and to-do lists.
• Prepare and edit documents with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Utilize PowerPoint and Canva to create clear, professional presentations and visual materials
• Learn and apply internal software systems, including Flocknote and Planning Center

Required Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Canva
• Willingness and ability to learn new software platforms as needed
