The Communal First Saturday provides a way of fulfilling Our Lady of Fatima’s request for the First Saturday and thereby helping bring about world peace and the salvation of souls.
The Communal First Saturdays help to schedule in the parish and lead all four practices requested by Our Lady for the purpose of making reparation to her Immaculate Heart. The First Saturdays in the communal form is a way of making it easier for each person to fulfill all of the practices of the First Saturdays and for a larger number of people to do so. Further, there is a greater power to our prayer and reparation when we join in prayer together publicly. The communal form also makes it more possible to give visible witness that Our Lord and Our Lady’s request for the First Saturdays is being fulfilled.
First Saturday of Each Month:
Join us for Morning Prayer and a Communal Rosary before the 9:00 AM Daily Mass. All are welcome Monday – Friday in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel beginning at 8:00 AM with the Liturgy of the Hours. Then the rosary immediately following.
On the 1st Saturday of the month, a Rosary with intentions for Communal First Saturday will be prayed before the 10 am Mass. On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays of the month, a Rosary with intentions for Walking with Mom in Need will be prayed before the 10 am Mass.
At this time there is no daily communal rosary before the evening masses. Rosary leaders are always welcome to join the team, just contact the team leader for more information. During the School year the Wed 9 am Rosary is not prayed communally as the students need time to practice before Mass. A personal Rosary is certainly encouraged.
We study the Diary of St. Faustina using a formation manual with weekly lessons along with appropriate references from the Bible and Catechism of the Catholic Church.
We emphasize and promote the concept that the Divine Mercy message is more than a devotion: It is a Way of Life. We learn the role of trust, forgiveness, and mercy in our daily lives. We deepen our Catholic faith and live out this faith by performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
