Adult Formation – Retreats

ACTS is a Parish Weekend Retreat that brings people closer to God and helps them build a relationship with Jesus. It’s based on Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service which is patterned after the description of the early Church by the Acts of the Apostles:

“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.  Awe came upon everyone and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common: they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals in exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And, every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.”- Acts 2:42-47

Adoration – the call by, acceptance of, and response to God.
Community – the love and caring of each other.
Theology – the study of God through scripture and the Catholic Faith.
Service – to God and his people.

St. Anthony’s hosts Parish Missions every Advent and Lent.

In keeping with the vision of St. Paul of the Cross, Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center supports and encourages the great human and spiritual adventure: the discovery of God and God’s loving compassion through Christ Crucified. Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center exists to provide hospitality, healing, compassion, and opportunities for spiritual growth for all people.

• St. Anthony Men’s Retreat Weekend is Mar 1-3, 2024
  St. Anthony Women’s Retreat weekend is June 21-23, 2024

Retreats are offered on many different weekends and anyone is welcome to attend if not convenient for the assigned parish weekend.

The Life in the Spirit Seminar is designed as an introduction to a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit and His gifts.  An opportunity for people to find out more about that life, and to be helped in taking the first steps of a new relationship with the Lord.  Come and experience the presence of the Lord, through praise and worship with the community.

It is common for people who attend to fall more deeply in Love with the Eucharist, with Jesus Christ and the Trinity, with the Mass, and with the Bible, and many receive/awaken their charismatic Gifts of the Holy Spirit just as the Apostles did in the upper room on Pentecost.

The Life in the Spirit Seminar is typically help in May or June, depending on when Pentecost Sunday is.

The Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend is an experience guided by couples and a priest who help you to rediscover your dreams, rekindle your romance, and become more aware of God’s desire for your marriage. Away from the distractions of everyday life, each couple has the time to focus on each other and learn new ways of communicating more effectively in a private, positive atmosphere. All marriages need effort and nurturing! WWME allows you to explore your relationship together and find ways to make it stronger and more fulfilling for a lifetime.
