Cornerstone Scripture Study (Monday Evening)
The Cornerstone Catholic Scripture Study strives to build, strengthen and deepen a personal and loving relationship with God and His people through prayer and the study of His Word. It is a welcoming place, open to all, no matter where you are on your faith journey with God. It incorporates daily studying the Word, Prayer, daily lessons, small group sharing, personal Reflections, and a Written Commentary. This year we will be studying The Prophets of the Old Testament!
The Monday Evening session meets from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

FULFILLED PART 1 & 2
Have you ever been unable to explain the “why” of Catholic beliefs? Have you ever wondered why the Old Testament sounds so different from the New Testament? In the Old Testament, God began building a plan and laying a foundation for the beautiful traditions of the Catholic Faith. That plan was fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. Fulfilled: Uncovering the Biblical Foundations of Catholicism is an apologetic approach to sharing the Catholic Faith using the Old Testament Tabernacle as a blueprint for God’s plan. Fulfilled will reignite your love of Scripture and help you share and defend the Catholic Faith with the Word of God.
Part One – Called into His Presence focuses on elements of the outer sanctuary of the Tabernacle and how they connect to the liturgical calendar, the priesthood, purgatory, baptism, and more.
Part Two – Drawn into the Divine Mystery focuses on elements of the inner sanctuary of the Tabernacle and how they connect to the Magisterium, the Eucharist, incense, Mary, and more.
This Program is 14 sessions total from September 2023 – March 2024.
PART 1 FALL – September 17 – November 5, 2023 from 7 PM – 8:45 PM

BIBLE TIMELINE

Join us for a come-and-go bible study with no registration, no fees, no homework and no commitment. Just show up as your schedule allows, learn a little about the story of salvation, and enjoy time with your fellow Paduans! Each week, a moderator will start the video lesson, which lasts about an hour.

HEBREWS: THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT
Hebrews: The New and Eternal Covenant draws out the riches of this sublime book in a way that makes them easier to understand. It draws connections between the Old and New Testaments, the Liturgy, the Eucharist, the priesthood, and so much more. Most importantly, Hebrews will help Catholics appreciate the astounding generosity of God as they see the wonders he has given us in the Church.

OREMUS: A GUIDE TO CATHOLIC PRAYER
The Oremus study program teaches you the essentials of an effective and fruitful prayer life. Over the course of eight weeks you will discover how God speaks to you, even in the smallest encounters. Following the Tradition of the Catholic Church and the wisdom of the saints, you will learn how to express yourself to God in prayer, and how to hear his voice.
This Program is 9 Sessions and is $25 for a study set.

GOSPEL OF JOHN

Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John is your guide to a personal encounter with Christ. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus seeks us. He comes to meet us and beckons us to follow him. He calls us to be his disciples, to trust him, to open ourselves to his merciful love, and to love others as he has loved us. Follow Me invites you to experience the joy of a renewed friendship with Christ. In this study you will learn what it takes to follow Christ and discover the joy of divine friendship. You will see how God, and only God, can satisfy the deepest desires of your heart.

JAMES: PEARLS FOR WISE LIVING
James: Pearls for Wise Living, Jeff Cavins shows how the teachings of James speak to those of us who feel torn between the competing demands of this world and our faith. Meant to help a fledgling Church live out its faith in the face of persecution and a worldview opposed to the gospel, the book of James will help you discover wisdom you can apply to the present.

WHAT WE BELIEVE: THE BEAUTY OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH
What is the Catholic Church all about? What does it mean to be Catholic? What do Catholics actually believe?
The Catholic Church is extraordinary. Founded by Christ himself, the Catholic Church is where we encounter God in his Word, his sacraments, and his saints. The Church faithfully proclaims the fullness of faith, leaving no truth out. It proclaims the fullness of life, leaving no person out. It calls all to repent and to believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the source of all life and salvation.
Maybe you’ve been Catholic your entire life. Maybe you’re just beginning to explore the Catholic Faith. Wherever you may be in your journey, you will be profoundly moved by the beauty and the richness of the Catholic Church.

Walking With Purpose
Do you desire to grow in your Catholic faith? Would you like to connect with other women in our parish community? Are you searching for something more in your life?
We invite you to consider joining Walking with Purpose, a women’s Catholic Bible Study. Weekly group sessions meet on Wednesdays 1:30-3:30 pm in the afternoon and Wednesdays 6:00- 8:30 pm in the evening.
OPENING YOUR HEART – YEAR-LONG STUDY
This Bible study will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God, help you form a personal relationship with Christ, and help you find answers to life’s biggest questions through the context of the Catholic faith. Opening Your Heart is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart and we encourage all participants new to Walking with Purpose to begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study.

TOUCHING THE DIVINE – YEAR-LONG STUDY
This study focuses on the many qualities of Jesus revealed through the Gospel of John. This study draws us into a deeper, loving relationship with Jesus as we reflect on His life and personality.
Saint John referred to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” As we study, John will teach us how much Jesus loves us, and how His love is the true satisfaction of our souls. Knowing Christ more intimately, as John did, will touch your heart and fill you with hope!

BEHOLDING HIS GLORY – FALL 2023
As we look at Old Testament people and events, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will satisfy, and promises that only He can deliver.
Beholding His Glory shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s plan for our own lives, His awe-inspiring majesty, and His desire for personal intimacy with each one of us.
One session offered:

BEHOLDING YOUR KING – SPRING 2024
We live in a self-centered culture that all too often leaves us feeling empty and dissatisfied. A fuller view of God and His glory is the perfect antidote, which you will experience in Beholding Your King.
We’ll study King David, select psalms, the temple, and many Old Testament prophets and see the ways in which they all point to the coming King of Kings, Jesus Christ. This Bible study is the second part of a two-part series and is ideally completed after Beholding His Glory.
Registration will open at the end of 2023.
